First Holliday Isha Statue / Kochi
By now I have been in India for a month and it was time for my first vacation so me and three other volunteers packed our seven things and started our trip to explore new things. Our first trip took us to Coimbatore's trademark and recognized wonder of the world the Isha statue.A huge statue in the shape of a woman's head 112ft tall which is said to reflect the 112 chakras of man. With high expectation we arrived in bad weather with lots of rain and wind. But despite the bad weather we didn't let the day go to waste, so we walked around the statue a good 6 times until we decided that we knew it well enough now.Adiyogi is a 112 foot statue inaugrated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sadhguru. It is based in the foothills of Velliagiri mountains and is a part of Isha Yoga Center. In front of the statue in a mandapam, sadhguru has also consecrated a yogeshwara linga. The ride back was very exhausting a missing cab, bad mood and cold set us to. But in the end we sat in a warm cab on the way home through nature with Indian music and many cows to leave the city the next day rested and motivated to go to the sea.
So the next morning, I and the two other volunteers went to the train station in Coimbatore early in the morning.A little disclaimer: Indian train stations are one of the most unstructured things I have seen in ages. You ask yourself so many questions: Where is the track? Which train is the right one? and many more. But to my surprise, after we found the train, it was really extremely clean and you were served super for little money food, drinks everything your heart desires. And the train ride was really like exploring a new country, from dust and dirt and I finally saw the India I wanted to see.Green jungle, light rain and a lot of rice paddies finally I got to see the beautiful India. The whole train ride I enjoyed the view of nature and the ever changing scenery. After a 4.5h train ride we reached our destination Keralla / Kochi rather a tourist place but I quickly understood why. A city right by the sea with fish markets all around and a really beautiful downtown. Our AirBnB was located directly on the sea and from our roof terrace we had a view towards the horizon. On this we also spent most of our time in the evening, good music, a bottle of wine or a beer and just let the evening end.Our stay in Kochi was 5 days long sounds quite short, but it was enough time to make many memories and to enjoy his vacation sufficiently. In the days we have visited the second largest mall in India and I could hardly believe it a Starbucks, there had to be eaten also equal to the good cheesecake, I must say it gave me a small feeling of home. The second highlight was the first not skinny pants that had to be packed directly first. In the evening, fresh fish was cooked and the evening enjoyed. The next day had to be used nartürlich for a trip to the sea to make and that was so far I think the moment by me most thought what kind of life I live at the moment. After a short trip to the warm sea with a wave that was not necessarily quiet, I sat with a coconut and a straw on the one hand and a red bull on the other hand at the beach enjoying the view and the sounds of the ozean.
What a time to be alive.
The last days of the holidays were just used to relax and to prepare for the upcoming term.Tomorrow school starts again and I have to put my daily routine out of vacation mode and get up to get up at 6 o'clock in the morning.
